Hitachi, Clarion to Boost Cooperation in Car Information Systems Business
Tokyo (JCNN) - On May 23, Hitachi and Clarion announced that they have agreed to strengthen their existing cooperative relationship in the field of car information systems (CIS).
By leveraging each's expertise in the respective field, the companies will develop competitive products including car navigation systems with the aim of introducing them in 2008.
Hitachi and Clarion have formed a task force to discuss details of cooperation.
Further, in order to use development resources efficiently, they have assembled researchers from both companies as well as Xanavi Informatics, Hitachi's wholly owned subsidiary in CIS business.
