Safelite AutoGlass Receives AMA Award for Computer-Based Marketing

COLUMBUS, Ohio, May 24, 2005 -- Columbus-based Safelite AutoGlass, the nation's largest provider of auto glass repair and replacement services, was recently awarded an Achievement in Marketing (AIM) Award by the Columbus Chapter of the American Marketing Association (AMA).

The AMA recognized Safelite in the Computer-Based Marketing category for its Web site enhancements and its Internet Yellow Pages marketing efforts. To better reach its consumer audience, Safelite redesigned and launched a new safelite.com in summer 2004. Previously, the site provided static information to consumers. As part of the site re-launch, Safelite bolstered its search engine marketing efforts.

The AIM Award recognized the company's demonstrated results as measured by increases in site visitors, Web-generated sales and consumer satisfaction surveys.

"It is a tremendous honor for Safelite's hard-working associates to be recognized for our tremendous Web efforts and our efforts to better serve our customers' needs," said Denise Klapper, Safelite's vice president of marketing. "The redesign and launch of safelite.com has been a critical component of our consumer marketing strategy."

Safelite AutoGlass is the nation's largest provider of auto glass repair and replacement services, providing mobile services to nearly 95 percent of the U.S. population in all 50 states. A subsidiary of Columbus, OH-based Safelite Group, Safelite AutoGlass serves more than 2.1 million customers each year through its company-owned operations. For more information, visit safelite.com.
