Response Insurance Offers a New Choice for Safe Drivers in Virginia

VA Bureau of Insurance Approves Lower Cost Auto Insurance Plan

MERIDEN, Conn., May 24 -- When it comes to auto insurance, many safe drivers in Virginia have very little to show for the care and responsibility they exercise behind the wheel. But, now they have a real choice that can save them money.

The Response Insurance Group has introduced an innovative new program to benefit safe drivers in Virginia.

"Many insurance companies aren't rewarding people enough for being safe drivers. They often lump drivers together and in many cases give the same rate to both good and the not-so-good drivers," said Mory Katz, Chairman & Chief Executive Officer of the Response Insurance Group of companies. "That's why we appreciate the Virginia Bureau of Insurance for working with us when we presented our plan to create a rate structure that much more closely reflects a person's driving record and their own situation."

How much difference can Response Insurance's new program make to residents of Virginia? A 47-year-old Arlington couple with good driving records would pay Allstate $1,662 annually to insure a 2004 Ford Taurus LX; they'd pay State Farm $1,210; Progressive $1,130; and they'd pay Response just $981*.

"We're also offering additional savings to Virginia drivers who are teachers through our Teachers' Insurance Plan(TM)," said Steve Oakley, Vice President of Marketing for the Response Insurance Group. "Our research has shown that teachers present a lower risk to insurance companies." Teachers' Insurance Plan(TM), which is also underwritten by members of the Response Insurance Group, is passing on those savings to teachers.

More information and free on-line rate quotes can be obtained at http://www.response.com/ and http://www.teachers.com/. In Virginia Worldwide Direct Auto Insurance Company underwrites Response, and Response Insurance Company underwrites Teachers' Insurance Plan. Both are members of the Response Insurance Group of companies.
