SSP Features School Buses & Twin 20’s on Thursday Night
NEWBERRYTOWN, PA (May 23, 2005) – This Thursday night, May 26, the
Susquehanna Speedway Park will feature the second round of The Great American School
Bus Race and Twin 20’s for the Sprint Cars presented by SABKO Enterprises.
The Xtreme Stock Cars will also be in action.
Greg Hodnett continues to lead the SSP Sprint Car point championship over
Lance Dewease and Fred Rahmer. This week’s event will be a non-points event
for the Sprint Cars only. The first 20-lap feature will be for drivers who
have never won a sprint car feature event at SSP. This feature will pay $1,000
to the winner. The second 20 lap feature will feature drivers who have won
a sprint car feature and the remainder of the twenty car field will be
filled out with the top finishers of the first 20 lapper. This feature will pay
$2,000. A driver has the opportunity to make $3,000 by winning both events.
The lineups for the heats of the non-winners feature will be through a blind
draw.
Mike Goodwin of Wellsville won the rain shortened Xtreme Stock Car feature
last week. The Xtreme Stock Car drivers eligible for the double purse money
bonus are Goodwin, Bryon Sipe, Larry Hughes Jr., Adam Smith and Ronnie
Thomas. These drivers will automatically start at the rear of the feature event,
and if any or all of these drivers make it into the top five finishing spots,
