ORLANDO, Fla.--May 23, 2005--ALT Software is pleased to announce that Wind River Systems, Inc. , has chosen to provide ALT's OpenGL(R) and OpenGL ES solutions as part of Wind River Platform for Automotive Devices. ALT's OpenGL coupled with Wind River's fully integrated, enterprise-wide telematics platform provides a comprehensive device development solution that enables automotive manufacturers to create innovative telematics devices better, faster, at a lower cost and more reliably.As part of ALT's support for Wind River Platform for Automotive Devices, ALT is providing hardware-accelerated OpenGL 2D/3D drivers to support Wind River's VxWorks(TM) RTOS running on a variety of different hardware configurations, including Freescale's Media5200 development kit and Fujitsu's Coral PA graphics chip.
