National Scientific Corporation Receives Order for Travado IBUS Units from Major Thomas Built Buses Distributor

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz.--May 2, 20053, 2005--

National Scientific and Auto Safety House to Provide Additional Equipment for Thomas Built Buses in the Southwest

U.S. technology firm National Scientific Corporation (OTCBB:NSCT) today announced the receipt of an additional order for their Travado IBUS(TM) digital video and school bus rider authentication system. The order was placed by Auto Safety House (ASH), a leading supplier of Thomas Built Buses, for buses within a Phoenix-area school district.

This new purchase order, for an additional 22 units, increases the number of units originally ordered by ASH. Auto Safety House ordered National Scientific Corporation's Travado IBUS(TM) Mobile Digital Video Recording (DVR) and location-aware system for the same school district. Now, almost one third of the ordering school's buses will be equipped with this technology, making the Arizona school district one of the first in the United States to adopt this type of technology as a major component of their school transportation safety package.

Travado IBUS(TM) combines the user's choice of digital video, biometrics, GPS, WiFi, and cellular into a comprehensive and cost effective solution for schools. Travado allows schools to easily customize the technology to meet their bus security requirements today, while still allowing for future flexibility through platform expansions and upgrades. The base system records digital video and will automatically download events, over a WiFi network, directly to the school's computer network without having to go out to the bus. By adding cellular communication with Travado's location-aware DVR, a real-time direct feed is established to the school administration. This feed enables a school, first responder, or administration office to know exactly where the bus is, who is riding on it, and see what is happening, all in real-time from the comfort of a PC.

An even more exciting and unique piece of functionality is that Travado(TM) technology can give school administrators automated attendance, bus utilization data, streamlined reporting, and the ability to track and receive faster accurate reimbursements through government-sponsored programs with less administrative burden. In addition, the system can be set-up to automatically notify parents via email or a cell phone text message when their children embark and/or disembark from their school bus, providing parents with peace of mind in knowing their children arrived safely at a specific destination, and at a specific time.

National Scientific Corporation CEO, Michael Grollman, added, "We believe that the ability of Travado to provide superb quality video and optionally keep track of children using the bus system can make it a powerful tool for combating truancy and improving overall safety for students riding anywhere."
