Kemper Auto and Home Deploys ISO HomeValue to Streamline Workflow for Agents and Underwriters
BOSTON--May 2, 20053, 2005--Kemper Auto and Home, a Unitrin Company, has integrated ISO HomeValue(TM) into its agent policy-quoting system for a streamlined underwriting workflow. Developed by AIR Worldwide Corporation (AIR), ISO HomeValue is a highly flexible web-based residential replacement cost estimator that can be integrated into virtually any underwriting application. As a result of the integration, Kemper Auto and Home's network of underwriters and independent agents has seamless access to replacement values through the web."We participated in the initial testing and design of ISO HomeValue to ensure ease-of-use, customizability, accuracy, and value-added information for our agents," said Thom McDaniel, president of Kemper Auto and Home. "Since our implementation, we have been extremely pleased with the improvements ISO HomeValue has made to our underwriting workflow. Integrating ISO HomeValue directly into our price quoting process will make working with Kemper Auto and Home easier for our agents."
ISO HomeValue is completely integrated into Kemper Auto and Home's policy-quoting system, RightPrice Web. To generate homeowners and package policy quotes, agents simply link to ISO HomeValue to formulate the replacement value. Furthermore, ISO HomeValue is integrated with ISO Public Protection Classification (PPC)(TM) codes, allowing agents to save even more time in the quoting process. Once the valuation is complete, all data associated with the record, including PPC codes, are seamlessly incorporated into RightPrice Web.
Additionally, RightPrice Web is populated with property-specific data imported through ISO HomeValue's unique pre-fill feature. This data is provided by ISO HomeValue's detailed database of key building features for more than 50 million residential properties in the United States. Agents simply enter an address and, in many cases, information including square footage, construction material, and other relevant property data is pre-filled into RightPrice Web.
"Integrating validated property information directly into RightPrice Web is a tremendous time saver for our agents," continued McDaniel. "It allows our agents to spend more time working with clients on the finer details of a property submission because the basics are already there."
"As insurers draw upon an ever-increasing amount of information to make underwriting decisions, the ability to provide seamless access to wide-ranging data is extremely valuable," said George Davis, actuarial consultant at AIR. "ISO HomeValue can be integrated with in-house and third-party applications, as well as with a wealth of data sources from ISO. In addition to PPC codes, ISO HomeValue can be integrated with A-PLUS(TM) reports, LOCATION(R) services, catastrophe hazard information, credit reports, and other information."
