#7 FOR GORDON SATURDAY?

             The question is can Eric Gordon do it again? The Indianapolis, 
Ind. driver has won four consecutive "Little 500" sprint car classics at 
Anderson (Ind.) Speedway and aims for a record five straight this Saturday 
at the 1/4-mile paved oval. A victory would extend his all-time record of 
"Little 500" wins to seven, also having won in 1993 and 1998.

             Gordon matched Bob Frey's record of four straight wins with 
his 2004 victory (Frey won in 1987-88-89-90). In the last four years Gordon 
has led nearly half of the 2,000 laps (949 to be exact).

             Key challengers for Gordon to consider are Dave Steele of 
Tampa, Fla. and Tony Hunt of Fair Oaks, Calif. Steele has won the pole for 
the unique 500-lap race the past three years, while Hunt, the defending 
USAC Valvoline Western Sprint Car Champion, has finished in the top four 
the past three years and wants to improve on his fourth, second and 
third-place finishes.

             Former USAC Sprint car and Silver Crown Champion Tracy Hines 
is also expected to make his "Little 500" debut in the famed Dynamics, Inc. 
entry. The Hoffman Auto Racing sprint car team is USAC's winningest ever!

             Others to keep an eye on Saturday are hometown sentimental 
favorite Jason McCord who continues to seek his elusive first "Little 500" 
triumph, many-time "Little 500" pole winner and three-time race winner Jeff 
Bloom, 2004 "Indiana Sprint Week" Champion Levi Jones and Shauna Hogg, who 
won a USAC Western Sprint Car race on pavement in 2003. Bloom is seeking 
his 29th start and has competed in the last 22 runnings of this prestigious 
event.

             Practice for the richest pavement Sprint car race in America 
($120,000-plus purse) begins Wednesday, with qualifications slated Thursday 
and Friday and Saturday night's classic set for an 8 pm green flag.
