Hayner to start 12th for SPEED World Challenge GT Race

presented by Trenton Forging Quality Formed Solutions



Lexington, Ohio. – May 21, 2005 The #5 GMAC Commercial Finance /  
Trenton Forging GTO, driven by Stu Hayner, qualified 12th for  
Saturday’s SPEED World Challenge GT race at Mid-Ohio. The SPEED World  
Challenge Weekend at Mid-Ohio is presented by Trenton Forging Quality  
Formed Solutions and is part of the American Le Mans Series weekend,  
May 20-22.

“The car is handling great,” commented Hayner. “We made some changes  
to the suspension after Road Atlanta and we’ve really stabilized the  
feel of the car. The guys have done a great job.”



“It’s a pretty quick field out there this weekend,” Hayner continued.  
“Our times are pretty solid and I really feel we’ve got the car in  
the hunt. I don’t know that we’ve got anything for Henzler and  
Heinricy, though… those guys are on a different planet. But, we can  
run our qualifying time consistently and for the full 50 minutes. I’m  
very confident in the car and our ability to move through the pack  
and have a good finish.”



“I’m looking forward to this race,” added Hayner. “We have a lot of  
guests here today. Of course, our sponsor, Trenton Forging is the  
title sponsor for the SPEED World Challenge races and we want to put  
on a great show for their customers and employees. We are also  
entertaining guests from GMAC Commercial Finance and PR Machine… all- 
in-all about 300 people… needless to say, we want to do well.”



The team also participated in off-track activities Chili Pepper  
Racing earlier this week when Hayner and Jim Osborn visited a  
Columbus Children’s Hospital to spend time with patients.



Today’s race starts at 5:35pm and will air May 28th on SPEED. The  
SPEED World Challenge will move on to Cleveland for the Cleveland  
Grand Prix June 23-25.
