Eddyville, Ky. – Keith Coleman Racing has joined with the Scleroderma Foundation, Delaware Valley Chapter for the MBNA RacePoints 200, the team announced today.
“We are excited to be a part of the KCR team,” said a chapter spokesperson. “It gives us the opportunity to reach a large number of people both locally in the Delaware Valley and nationwide.”
The foundation logo will appear on the C-Post of the #23 Vassarette Chevrolet during the race and the team’s website, http://www.keithcolemanracing.com. The organization will also cross-promote the partnership through local advertising and marketing efforts.
Scleroderma, which literally means “hard skin” is a disease that affects more than 300,000 people in the United States, approximately 80% of which are women. Cases can range from mild to life-threatening. At this time, researchers do not know the cause of the disease, nor do they have a cure.
The Scleroderma Foundation has a three-fold mission:
· Support: To help patients and their families cope with scleroderma through mutual support programs, peer counseling, physician referrals, and educational information.
· Education: To promote public awareness and education through patient and health professional seminars, literature, and publicity campaigns.
· Research: To stimulate and support research to improve treatment and ultimately find the cause of and cure for scleroderma and related diseases.
