Reynolds and Reynolds Granted Patent for its Network Services Delivery Model

DAYTON, Ohio, May 19, 2005 -- The Reynolds and Reynolds Company , the leading provider of software and services to the automotive retailing industry, announced that it has been granted a patent by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (No. 6,868,388) titled "Integrated Voice and Data System and Auto Retail Channel Network Portal."

The patent describes a model for delivering a remote, high-speed wide area network to automotive dealerships through a secure management center. The secure management center enables dealerships to transmit and receive data from car manufacturers and other vendors, while providing them with a fully managed remote network with corporate-class levels of security and reliability.

Today, the patented network delivery model forms the foundation of the Reynolds Private Managed Network offering.
