Tenneco Automotive Announces an Extension of the Exchange Offer for Its $500 Million Principal Amount 8-5/8% Senior Subordinated Notes Due 2014

LAKE FOREST, Ill., May 19, 2005 -- Tenneco Automotive Inc. announced today an extension of its offer to exchange up to $500 million principal amount of 8-5/8% Senior Subordinated Notes due 2014, which have been registered under the Securities Act of 1933, for a like amount of its 8-5/8% Senior Subordinated Notes due 2014, which were issued in November 2004 in a private placement. The offer is being made pursuant to the terms and conditions included in the company's prospectus dated April 11, 2005.

The exchange offer originally was scheduled to expire at 5:00 p.m. New York City time on May 18, 2005. The offer to exchange now will expire at 5:00 p.m. New York City time on May 20, 2005, unless further extended by Tenneco Automotive. All other terms of the exchange offer remain unchanged.

To date, approximately $499.5 million in aggregate principal amount of the notes issued in the November 2004 private placement have been tendered.
