ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (May 17, 2005) - SCCA Enterprises, a wholly owned

SCCA and SCCA Sports Racing cars.
"Erik Skirmants is a perfect fit to lead SCCA Enterprises," SCCA
Enterprises Board Chairman Andy Porterfield said. "His motorsports
knowledge and background, understanding of our products and business
skills provide a strong foundation to serve in our customer's and the
company's best interests."
A Michigan State University graduate with a degree in Honors Mechanical
Engineering, Skirmants began his career with four years in engine
development at General Motors, followed by 11 years of account
management for Detroit-area based companies, including Siemens, GE

Sealing Systems, in Livonia, Mich.
Skirmants has also served on the SCCA, Inc. Board of Directors since
2003. Per the SCCA Bylaws, Skirmants must step down from this post as a
company employee. Skirmants' three year post as Area 4's representative
was due to end in December. An interim Board member will be named
shortly.
"I am very excited to have the opportunity to serve the member customers
of SCCA Enterprises as well as contribute to the overall business
success of the Club," Skirmants said. "I believe that I have a unique
blend of racing community knowledge, business management skills and
component supply chain experience as well as previous success in the
marketing and sales of technical products, to take SCCA Enterprises into
another successful growth cycle."
In addition to his SCCA leadership roles, Skirmants also has a
successful competition history as well, with a top-five finish at the
SCCA National Championship Runoffs Presented by Kohler. He currently
campaigns a Porsche 356 in F Production.
Skirmants, his wife Janice, and their two children will relocate from
Wixom, Mich., to the Denver, Colo. area this summer.
