Brut Racing Funny Car Driver Ron Capps Helps Promote NHRA Championship Drag Racing at E3 Expo

ValuSoft Selects Kermish-Geylin PR to Launch New Game

LOS ANGELES, May 17 -- ValuSoft, a division of THQ Inc. , announces that Ron Capps and his Brut Dodge Stratus Funny Car from Don Schumacher Racing will blast into the Los Angeles Convention Center May 18 during the 2005 E3 Expo to help introduce ValuSoft's NHRA Championship Drag Racing. The game, which is rated "E" for Everyone, is being developed for the PlayStation(R) 2 computer entertainment system.

Surrounded by plasma screens showcasing a sizzling video of the game, Capps will provide a personal insight into how NHRA Championship Drag Racing brings the excitement and intensity from the drag strip to the game console. Capps will sign autographs and talk to fans from noon until 3 p.m. on Wednesday, May 18 in the convention center's West Lobby during the E3 Expo, gaming's seminal event. The Brut Dodge Stratus, driven by Capps in the 2005 NHRA POWERade Drag Racing series, will be the center of ValuSoft's display throughout the Expo.

Winner of 14 professional NHRA events, Capps, an avid gamer when not behind the wheel of his Funny Car, was one of the drivers who helped develop NHRA Championship Drag Racing, which will put players in control of an incredible 8,000+ horsepower of pure speed. Racing NHRA tracks from Pomona to Gainesville, gamers will go head-to-head against 35 of the NHRA's best Funny Car, Top Fuel Dragster and Pro Stock drivers.

"Ron has been an integral part of the project from the start in working with our developer to make the game what it is today and nothing will get players closer to the real thing than this game," said Doug Clemmer, President of THQ's ValuSoft division. He continued, "NHRA Championship Drag Racing is bringing the first truly authentic drag racing game to the PlayStation 2. This is the game that racing fans have been waiting for."

ValuSoft, which is a leading publisher of value-priced racing, action and children's games for the PC, will publish NHRA Championship Drag Racing under its new VSE Games label, which will denote its products for the console market. NHRA Championship Drag Racing is the first NHRA-licensed title for the PlayStation 2 system and ValuSoft has selected Kermish-Geylin to launch this game.

"We wanted a firm which had relationships with the motorsports media, especially the media covering professional drag racing, as well as with the gaming press," explained Clemmer. "KGPR fulfills this role and can tell our story with credibility and understanding."

In addition to ValuSoft, KGPR ( http://www.kgpr.com/ ), based in Harrington Park, NJ, and with offices in New England and California, client base includes Don Schumacher Racing, the U.S. Army NHRA Racing Team, Porsche Cars North America and DaimlerChrysler.
