Toyota to seek 20% cut in CO2 emissions

NAGOYA May 14, 2005; Japan Today reported that Toyota Motor Corp said Friday it will aim to cut carbon dioxide emissions from its production by 20% in fiscal 2010 to March 2011 from the level in fiscal 2001.

Announcing its action plan for environmental issues for the five years beginning next April, Toyota said the company will pursue the emissions target on a global scale involving its overseas subsidiaries. (Kyodo News)
