RAIN PUTS A DAMPER ON ELIMINATIONS AT THE NHRA LUCAS OIL EVENT
AT MISSION RACEWAY
MISSION, B.C. – Eliminations in the Lordco B.C. Nationals, a round of the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series at Mission Raceway Park, were put on hold because of rain. Division and track officials pulled the plug on the event, opting to finish it when the track hosts its second NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series event in August. Eliminations for this race will be held Thursday, August 8, in conjunction with a test and tune that the track has scheduled.
“We had been lucky on Saturday so we were hopeful today,?? said Mike Rice, NHRA Northwest Division Director. “Unfortunately, the weather didn’t hold and the forecast doesn’t look good so decided to let everyone get a start home. We’ll finish it up when we come back in August.??
For more information about the upcoming event and the completion of this race call the track, (604) 826-6315 or visit www.MissionRaceway.com.
Northwest Division racers head to Firebird Raceway in Boise, Idaho, for the next NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series event, June 3-5.
