Detroit Regional Chamber Applauds DOD Military Base Decision

DETROIT, May 13, 2005 -- By not identifying any of the Detroit Region's military installations in the Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) process, the Department of Defense has recognized the importance and strategic advantage of Southeast Michigan. With today's announcement, the military has positioned itself to remain the premier force across the globe by continuing to tap into a region with a superior workforce and the highest concentration of vehicle research in the world.
