Signal Ventures Acquires Flex-Trax and ``GoClaws'' Tire Accessory Brand Assets

RAINSVILLE, Ala.--May 1, 20051, 2005--

Both Automotive Aftermarket Companies Feature Urethane-based Products

Signal Ventures, Inc., the parent organization for Urethane Supply Company - an automotive plastics supply company based here - has acquired the assets of Flex-Trax, Inc., of Bristol, Tenn., effective March 9, 2005.

The financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

Flex-Trax introduced its brand GoClaws(TM), a tire accessory product designed for both highway and off-road, in the fall and winter of 2004. GoClaws(TM), a polyurethane product is a traction device for car to tractor-trailer vehicle tires designed to prevent being stuck in heavy snow, mud or sand while providing for improved personal safety during hazardous driving conditions.

Kurt Lammon, president of Signal Ventures, said, "With the addition of Flex-Trax and GoClaws(TM), we now offer greater support to the automotive aftermarket industry by utilizing our more than 25 years of urethane scientific and technical knowledge and experience. The GoClaws design is based on proven techniques of mechanical engineering, physics, material handling, and hydraulics. Available in three sizes each for both the consumer and commercial markets, each package of GoClaws offers six adjustable, interchangeable modules providing traction for the two drive tires. They are self-cleaning, self-tracking and self-tensioning. Four-wheelers can use two packages of GoClaws for all four tires. Signal Ventures is the owner of Urethane Supply Company, the brand which is used for its plastic repair and refinishing products in the collision repair industry. Founded in 1981 by Jim Sparks in Rainsville, Ala., the business was acquired ten years ago by Signal Ventures, Inc. Urethane Supply manufactures and markets the full range of body shop products designed for repairing damaged plastic on cars, trucks, ATVs, motorcycles, airplanes, boats and other products.
