Sterling Marlin Richmond Race Advance

Sterling Marlin, No. 40 Coors Light Dodge

American Revolution 400 - Richmond International Raceway Advance

No. 40 TEAM FACTS:

* Chassis: The Coors Light team will race chassis #504 this
weekend at Richmond. This is the same car that Marlin piloted to a
26th-place finish at Phoenix earlier this season.

* Last Spring at Richmond: Marlin and the Coors Light team
overcame a 32nd starting spot, a loose handling car and eight cautions
to finish 15th in the American Revolution 400 at Richmond International
Raceway last spring. He was 15th in the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup championship
points standings when he left RIR.

* The Best at Richmond: Marlin has competed in 38 races at
Richmond International Raceway. His highest starting spot was third in
1998 and 2001, and his highest finish came in the fall of 1999 when he
finished fourth.

* NASCAR NEXTEL Cup points standings: Marlin slipped to 18th in
the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup points standings after finishing 41st last weekend
at Darlington. Marlin is 131 points out of the Chase for the NEXTEL
Cup.

STEVE BOYER, CREW CHIEF QUOTES:

"We are taking the same car that we had in Phoenix, and that we tested
earlier this month at Richmond. We learned a lot about the car in
Phoenix and at testing, so when we came back from the test we made some
changes. We think these changes are in the right direction and we are
hoping for a solid top-10 or top-15 run to get some momentum back in
regards to the points standings."

Comment on the morale of the Coors Light team after two disappointing
weeks of racing?

"The whole team is very hopeful. The last two weeks were hard because
we had a top-10 car at Talladega and a top-five car in Darlington, but
both races we had setbacks. These small setbacks are bound to happen in
racing, but teams are measured by how they can come back from them. I
think the Coors Light team is going to rally this week with a strong
finish."
