AutoBaron Launches New Technology Website to Gather and Present the Most Extensive Listing of Cars for Sale Online

SAN FRANCISCO, May 10, 2005 -- AutoBaron has introduced a website that can find and accurately organize information about all automobiles for sale online and make it accessible to buyers in one comprehensive search.

Known as "THE Search Engine for Autos(TM)," the technology behind this search engine can be applied to all products for sale online, but it is specifically advantageous for handling used products, notably used cars which constitutes 80% of the automotive market.

"The term search engine is synonymous with comprehensiveness, because that is the core value of search. Market places today in effect are no more than paid advertisement and I wouldn't call that search or comprehensive," explains Troy Hartenstine, CEO of AutoBaron (www.autobaron.com).

AutoBaron is the first middleware product that resolves the barriers to accurate product search for used products online, and can then be accessed by search engines such as Ask.com (ask Jeeves), Google (Froogle), MSN and Yahoo.

The user's experience is enhanced with search results displayed in AutoBaron's P2M(TM) chart that makes it easy to view a complete listing of their search and easily determine the value of a car. The chart graphically displays vehicles from multiple sources, providing users with the most efficient automotive shopping experience available on the web.

Advanced search functions enable users to narrow their search by geography, price range or key words.

"Although still in its infancy, you can see the results -- on Google's product portal -- Froogle," Says Hartenstine. "Comprehensive product search resolves inefficiencies for online auto consumers and the automotive trade."

A partnership with thinkingVOICE(TM) (www.thinkingvoice.com) will enable instant messaging and telephony applications for consumer to seller contact and service optimization. According to Hartenstine the industry buy-in has been phenomenal with dealer service providers such as Dealer Specialties, Smart Web Concepts, and Dealer Fusion, as do dealers and dealer groups such as AutoNation and classified publishers including Dupont Registry.

"All participants benefit from a comprehensive and more efficient environment that links directly to the source page of the item for sale."
