Federal-Mogul Honored With Ford's World Excellence Award

SOUTHFIELD, Mich.--May 9, 2005--Federal-Mogul's (OTCBB:FDMLQ) gasket manufacturing facility in Tepotzotlan, Mexico has received Ford Motor Company's Silver World Excellence Award for its superior performance in 2004.

The World Excellence Awards provide annual recognition based on quality, cost and delivery performance. Seventeen suppliers won Gold Awards and 26 suppliers won Silver Awards at a ceremony held at The Henry Ford Museum, Dearborn, Michigan on April 28.

The minimum criteria for the top three awards are based on suppliers' performance in quality, cost and delivery for the previous year.
