Maxime Pelletier joins Cameron Motorsports
May 7, 2005 Top ranked Quebec junior signs on for 2005 HAMILTON, ONTARIO One of the top ranked junior driver in the Country, France-born Maxime Pelletier has joined Cameron Motorsports for 2005 after a weekend test at Cameron’s Hamilton facility. “I was very excited and pleased to be offered a test at the Hamilton track on the weekend,” said Pelletier. “Everything went extremely well on Sunday; the CRG/Cameron chassis is amazing to drive. I would like to thank Tim Sinclair, my mechanic and Trevor Wickens for working with me and helping me win my first race of the year.” Pelletier’s test in part was to run the Rotax Max Jr race with the Hamilton Regional Kart Club and he dominated. Remy Pelletier, Maxime’s father was as excited as his son about the ‘surprise’ test. “We were in the Toronto area where I am developing my business when we decided to stop and see our friends at Cameron Motorsports. Thanks to Bob Cameron, Trevor Wickens and Levon Beaudin for offering the test to Maxime, I could see right away that he was very comfortable with the chassis. He put in some quick times from the very first laps.” Bob Cameron was impressed with the young star and his performance on a new chassis at a new track. He immediately offered him a spot in the Cameron Motorsports team for the 2005 season. “We are extremely pleased to welcome Maxime to the Cameron Motorsports family. On his first opportunity to drive our CRG chassis, he qualified it on the pole amongst a strong Rotax Junior field and went on to win the race. Maxime is very quick; he will be a strong competitor in Rotax and Formula Junior. Pelletier was quick to realize the opportunity offered to him by Cameron and he jumped at the chance to join the high profile team. “I’m pleased to join the Cameron Motorsports team, there is a great atmosphere here and the people are very dedicated. C’est génial d’avoir eu une victoire pour ma première course de la saison.” Pelletier a couru une manche du championnat Rotax Max Junior au Club de Karting Régional de Hamilton et a dominé. Remy Pelletier, le père de Maxime, était aussi exciter que son fils au terme de cet essai ‘surprise’. “Nous étions dans la région de Toronto ou je considère établir ma compagnie quand j’ai décider d’arrêter dire bonjour a nos amis chez Cameron Motorsports. J’ai immédiatement senti que Maxime était confortable avec le châssis CRG/Cameron, il a été très rapide des les premiers tours." Bob Cameron a été très impressionné par la jeune vedette Franco-québécoise et par la facilité avec laquelle il a su s’adapter à un nouveau châssis et une nouvelle piste si rapidement. Il lui a immédiatement offert une place sur l’équipe pour la saison 2005. “Nous sommes très fiers et souhaitons la bienvenue à Maxime au seins de la famille Cameron Motorsports. A sa première chance de piloter notre châssis CRG, il a fait une pole en qualification et à remporter une victoire. C’est impressionnant si on considère qu’il y avait de la forte compétition ce dernier week-end. Maxime est très rapide, il va être une force en Rotax et Formule Junior.” Pelletier a rapidement réalisé quelle opportunité il avait de piloter pour l’équipe de premier niveau. “Je suis très heureux de me joindre à Cameron Motorsports.
