MOTHER'S DAY NASCAR SPECTACULAR
MOTHER'S DAY NASCAR SPECTACULAR: SATURDAY MAY 7 IRWINDALE SPEEDWAY… SIX SUPER DIVISIONS OF RACING
Irwindale, Calif. - - We're talking a big show here … HUGE. This is why wise sons and even wiser daughters are calling (626) 358-1100 and getting their tickets early for this week's spectacular NASCAR Saturday night at fan-friendly Irwindale Speedway.
We've only got so much room here, so we're going to suggest that fans really get into the deal by dialing in to: www.irwindalespeedway.com and looking at the points spreads for themselves, we're only going to be able to give you the highlights here.
Headliners the Lucas Oil Super Late Models are back for round four of the 18-race 2005 Championship with driving breakout sensation Todd Southwell (San Marcos) leading the points chase by 10 (148 - 138) over “rookie” phenom Andrew Phipps (Simi Valley). Right behind those two “old pro” (he's not really THAT old, but he IS a pro in every sense of the word) Rod Johnson (Canyon Country) has been having a very good year with fourth, third, and fifth place finishes putting him only 6 points behind Phipps.
Here's the rest of the best:
· Tom Landreth (Alta Loma) and Matt Hicks (Santee) are tied at the top of the kick-butt King Taco Legends Cars points pile at 92 nice ones each.
· In the dueling Dodge Super Trucks Cory Fancy (Canyon Country) has a clean lead after three at 142.
· In the awesome AMF Bowling Pure Stocks John Mattie (Highland) has a slim four point lead at 94.
· The gnarly NASCAR Grand American Modifieds, Joe Ruggles (Palmdale) has a perfect two-for-two 100 points.
· And … In those predatory Pick Your Part Figure 8's Steve Stewart (Long Beach … where else?) has another perfect record of two-for-two and (you guessed it) one hundred points.
AND NOW … A SPECIAL NO CHARGE EXTRA … TWO PRESS RELEASES FOR THE PRICE OF ONE!
