LAUDERDALE, Fla.--May 4, 2005--The leading, annual Web design awards known as The Webby Awards has recognized the Detroit Lions Website, http://www.detroitlions.com, as a Webby Worthy candidate in the 9th Annual Webby Awards. For the first time ever this year, "The Oscars of the Internet," as dubbed by the New York Times, created a category that acknowledged submissions of exceptional quality, although not chosen as a nominee.
