MOPAR'S HUBINETTE READIES FOR ROAD ATLANTA
Center Line, Mich. May 3, 2005- Samuel Hubinette and the Mopar SRT10 Dodge Viper Team
may have been down after the first round of the Need For Speed Formula Drift
Championship, but with "The Crazy Swede" at the wheel, you can never call them
out. Hubinette is primed and ready to return to Road Atlanta, the site of his
first complete event sweep en route to the 2004 series championship.
The Mopar SRT10 Dodge Viper Team took its first round loss at Wall Speedway
in New Jersey and immediately hit the ground running. After extensive testing
in both Michigan and Minnesota, the team is ready to roll at Road Atlanta.
"After all of the practice we've had in Michigan and Minnesota with Archer
Racing, we're excited to get back into action in the second round of
competition," Hubinette said. "Testing has gone exceptionally well, and we're confident
that we're going to be able to put on an outstanding show for the fans in
Atlanta."
Hubinette, who advanced to the first round of eliminations in New Jersey, is
quick to point out, though, that this season is a work in progress.
"We've worked really hard to make the Mopar SRT10 Dodge Viper more
competitive," Hubinette said. "DC Performance and Archer Racing have worked to drop the
weight of the car, and we've added more Mopar Performance Parts that will
allow us to get even more out of the car. We've only had a short time to work with
this car, and we're still working to implement changes that testing has shown
us we need to make."
With "The Crazy Swede" back in full force, drifting fans and competitors
alike can count on him lighting up some Yokohama Tires and cutting some wicked
angles with the Mopar SRT10 Dodge Viper. Putting on a show comes like second
nature to Hubinette, and Road Atlanta presents the perfect opportunity for him to
do just that.
