Sterling Marlin, No. 40 Coors Light Dodge

Dodge Charger 500 - Darlington Raceway Advance

650th-Career Start

No. 40 TEAM FACTS:

* Career Milestone: Sterling Marlin will make his 650th NASCAR
NEXTEL Cup career start at Darlington Raceway this weekend. Marlin made
his Cup debut in 1976 at Nashville Speedway, driving for his father Coo
Coo Marlin.

* Chassis: The Coors Light team will race chassis #401 this
weekend at Darlington. This is the same car that Marlin piloted to a
fifth, 35th and 15th-place finish in Texas, Las Vegas and Fontana
respectively.

* Last Spring at Darlington: After adjusting to the new walls at
Darlington Raceway, Marlin drove his Coors Light Dodge to a 14th-place
finish. Marlin battled the handling of the car most of the race but was
able to pull out a top-15 finish when the checkered flag waved.

* The Best at Darlington: Marlin has competed in 42 races at
Darlington Raceway. He has visited victory lane twice in the spring of
1995 and 200. Marlin has also piloted the Coors Light Dodge to 16
top-10 finishes.

* NASCAR NEXTEL Cup points standings: Marlin slipped to 17th in
the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup points standings after finishing 34th last weekend
at Talladega. Marlin is only 38 points behind teammate Jamie McMurray
who is sitting in the 10th position.
