LYNCH WINS NASCAR WEST SERIES RACE AT STOCKTON 99

STOCKTON, Calif. (May 2, 2005) – Former series champ Scott Lynch won the NASCAR Grand National West Series race at Stockton 99 Speedway over a diverse and competitive field, all racing on Goodyear Eagles.

Stockton 99 Speedway is a quarter-mile oval with two distinct racing groves. It is one of California’s most storied paved racetracks. The race was a 150-lapper with a competition pause after the first 100 laps.

The field included drivers from six states and three nations.

Mike Duncan finished second, followed by Mike David, Scott Gaylord and David Gilliland. Lynch won the Bud Pole Award with a lap averaging 63.451 mph.
