BRISTOL, Tenn. (April 30, 2005) ­ Tony Pedregon wrestled his Q Racing Monte
Carlo Nitro Funny Car to the 12th-qualifying slot for tomorrowıs OıReilly
Auto Parts Thunder Valley NHRA Nationals presented by Q at Bristol Dragway.

In his one and only qualifying run of the weekend, Pedregon kept his car off
the wall at the top end to click off a 5.021-second elapsed time at 272.78
mph. As with yesterdayıs qualifying, rain cancelled todayıs second session.

³It dropped a cylinder at the top end,² Pedregon said. ³It was close to the
wall, but I knew where I was on the track. Iım just happy we were able to
make a decent run and get in the field. We have some data for tomorrow and
it should be a good day.²

Pedregon has a round one match up with Del Worsham tomorrow.
