Notes: Both the NASCAR Nextel Cup and Busch Series will run the same tire codes this weekend . . . this is the first time Goodyear has brought this combination of left- and right-side tires to Talladega . . . this is the only track at which Nextel Cup teams will run this specific tire set-up this season, though it is similar to the one run at Daytona . . . as on all NASCAR ovals greater than one mile in length, teams are required to run inner liners in their tires at Talladega . . . air pressure in those liners should be 12-25 psi greater than that of the outer tire.

Goodyear Quote -- Mark Keto, Lead Engineer, Stock Car Racing: "While the compounds on this tire set-up are the same as last year at Talladega, we made some minor construction changes to increase the stability of the tire. These changes are the same as the ones we made to the Daytona set-up for this year, so we expect to see the same excellent performance we had in Florida in February."
