Milwaukee Co. Exec. Scott Walker in 2-seat IndyCar 4/28

(April 28, 2005) Milwaukee, Wis. - Milwaukee County Executive Scott
Walker will arrive in style at a speaking engagement today(April 28)
at the Silver Spring Country Club.
Walker will arrive in a street legal 2-seat Indy Car at the Silver
Spring Country Club, 21318 West Silver Spring Drive, at approximately
11:45am, to speak with the Milwaukee Electric Tool Retirement Club. An
area has been reserved for the race car and media at the main clubhouse
entry.
The city of Milwaukee is one of 14 stops on the "Road To Indy" tour
being conducted by the Indy Racing League and the Indianapolis 500. The
89th running of the famous auto race will be on Sunday, May 29.
The stars of the Indy 500 return to The Milwaukee Mile to race the
weekend of July 22-24.
Walker will be riding in the second seat, directly behind noted ABC
sports commentator Jack Arute, who will be driving this unique
gas-powered Indy Car. Arute is a sideline reporter during ABC College
Football who has grown up in the sport of auto racing. He's been part
of the ABC Sports broadcast team covering major open wheel racing in
America, including the Indy 500, for decades.
When Walker kicks-off his six day state-wide tour, the "2nd annual
Executive's Ride" on June 25, he will be armed with race tickets to the
Milwaukee Mile IRL IndyCar Series race, in addition to other
attractions. Walker will lead a group of Harley Davidson motorcycle
riders touring Wisconsin in late June to promote Milwaukee County
attractions and business opportunities.
