Sonic Automotive Announces That 30 Dealerships Were Recognized for Excellence
CHARLOTTE, N.C., April 27 -- Sonic Automotive, Inc. , a leader in automotive retailing, today announced that 30 of its dealerships earned recognition for excellence in customer service and overall dealership operations by their respective manufacturers.
The awards reinforce Sonic Automotive's commitment to operating excellence and customer satisfaction, said President and Chief Operating Officer Jeffrey C. Rachor.

Although the criteria for the awards vary by manufacturer, all place heavy emphasis on overall customer satisfaction achieved at the local dealership. Nine of Sonic Automotive's Cadillac franchises won "Master Dealer" awards, four BMW franchises were recognized with the BMW "Center of Excellence" award, and four Lexus dealerships won "Elite" status. Sonic Automotive franchises were also the recipients of three General Motors "Mark of Excellence" awards, three Toyota "Presidents Award," two Honda "Presidents Award," two Volvo "Presidents Award," a Mercedes-Benz "Best of the Best" award, a Ford "Presidents Award," and a Kia "Presidents Award."
