The Wednesday through Friday (Aug. 3-5) general automotive strategy sessions will focus on "Is There Calm After the Storm?"
In addition, specific seminars will cover topics such as health care issues for automotive suppliers, the outlook for China and India, and advanced powertrains. A blend of top industry executives, technical and business leaders and other experts will consider a broad spectrum of issues and trends facing the automotive industry.
"We're developing a dynamic lineup of talented, knowledgeable speakers and also planning some surprises to celebrate our 40th anniversary," said CAR Chairman David Cole, Ph.D.
The purpose of CAR is to conduct research on significant issues related to the future direction of the global automotive industry, as well as organize and conduct forums of value to the automotive community. CAR takes pride in its reputation as a non-biased, independent resource committed to helping industry and government define and manage critical issues. Over the past 40 years, the MBS has evolved into the industry's conference benchmark by providing a balance of formal presentations and varied opportunities for the informal sharing of ideas. Industry, academic and government representatives participate as panel members, moderators and keynote speakers.
