Richard Greenwald New Director of Purchasing at S-Y Systems

DEARBORN, Mich.--April 27, 2005--Richard Greenwald has been appointed Director of Purchasing for S-Y Systems Technologies America, LLC, a Siemens VDO Automotive (AG) and Yazaki Corporation joint venture company supplying electrical and electronic distribution systems, announced Robert Crumley, president.

Greenwald is responsible for strategic direction for supplier sourcing management, including advanced purchasing, cost estimating and component procurement. He reports to Nic Gaeta, vice president and chief finance officer.

Greenwald began his career in the automotive industry with Ford Motor Company purchasing. He has held key positions at Yazaki North America as Director EDS, Electronics and Instrumentation Purchasing and, prior to that, as Director of Sales - Daimler Chrysler Business Unit.

"Overall, Greenwald brings over 20 years of automotive experience to this new and expanded purchasing function at S-Y," noted Gaeta.

Greenwald received a Master of Management Degree from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management North at Northwestern University. He completed his undergraduate studies at Wesleyan University in Ohio.
