LUNATI TO HONOR NASCAR AUTOZONE ELITE DIVISION CREW CHIEFS

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (April 25, 2005) – Lunati, a leading manufacturer of camshafts, crankshafts and other performance drivetrain components, will sponsor an all-new special award to recognize the top crew chiefs in the NASCAR AutoZone Elite Division.

Lunati, a subsidiary of Kentucky-based Holley Performance Products, will award a gift certificate valued at $50 off a purchase of $250 or more, or a $100 off a purchase of $500 or more, to the winning crew chief at each NASCAR AutoZone Elite Division race in 2005. The NASCAR AutoZone Elite Division consists of four separate series featuring NASCAR Late Models – the Midwest Series, Northwest Series, Southeast Series and Southwest Series.

The four series are scheduled to compete in a total of 43 events this season, resulting in more than $2,000 in Lunati product discounts for winning crew chiefs. In addition to the individual race awards, the championship crew chief in each series will be presented with a $4,250 year-end cash bonus. The Lunati Crew Chief award program, including the product discounts and year-end bonus awards, adds up more than $19,000.

“I think every racer will agree – their crew chief doesn’t get nearly enough recognition for all the hours they put in – and these awards will do just that,” said Don Hawk, NASCAR’s director of regional racing development. “We are thrilled at the level of support from Holley and Lunati, and on behalf of all the competitors, we can’t thank them enough for stepping up to make this possible.”

Bobby Writesman, Holley’s Manager of Circle Track Motorsports, said his company is committed to short track racing. “We began this program by recognizing the champion crew chiefs in the NASCAR Dodge Weekly Series,” said Writesman. “And we’re very excited to enter the Lunati name into this premier regional touring division of NASCAR.”
