Freudenberg-NOK President & CEO Mohsen Sohi Inducted Into Shingo Prize Academy
PLYMOUTH, Mich., April 26 -- Dr. Mohsen Sohi, president and chief executive officer (CEO) of Freudenberg-NOK, has recently been inducted into the Shingo Prize for Excellence in Manufacturing Academy in recognition of his constant pursuit of world-class business performance through focused improvements in core manufacturing and business processes.
Sohi was inducted by Ross E. Robson, executive director of the Shingo Prize, and Bruce Hamilton, vice chair of the business board of examiners, during the 17th Annual Shingo Prize Conference in Grand Rapids, Mich. Sohi was a keynote speaker at the conference where he discussed Freudenberg-NOK's lean experience in a presentation titled, "13 Years & Counting - Reflection on a Lean Journey."
"It is a great honor to be inducted into the Shingo Prize Academy among the most highly skilled practitioners in lean," said Sohi. Since joining Freudenberg-NOK in 2003, Sohi has been committed to re- energizing the company's lean benchmark program called Growtth(R) (an acronym for Get Rid of Waste Through Team Harmony). He has worked to integrate lean principles, Six Sigma practices and information technology to extend continuous improvement across the entire Freudenberg-NOK enterprise.
The Shingo Prize for Excellence in Manufacturing, established in 1988, recognizes business excellence in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
