Porsche and Hyatt Join in Global Racing and Brand Partnership

CHICAGO, IL Apr 22, 2005; Hyatt Corporation announced today that it has entered into a strategic marketing partnership with Porsche. Under the unprecedented agreement between the two premier brands, Hyatt becomes an official partner of Porsche Motorsport; plus, Porsche and Hyatt will collaborate on brand marketing programs. According to the three-year agreement, marketing activities will begin in the USA and Germany in 2005, and be expanded worldwide in future years.

Hyatt and Porsche share a commitment to excellence. Both have a history of design leadership at the forefront of their respective industries. The two brands share a discerning clientele of accomplished individuals around the world.

"Porsche Motorsport has a heritage of design and performance that relates well to Hyatt," said Thomas F. O'Toole, senior vice president of strategy and systems for Hyatt. "We are enthusiastic about and committed to our new partnership with Porsche."

With the new partnership, Hyatt becomes a prominent sponsor of the Porsche factory racing effort, the Alex Job racing team, in the American LeMans Series. The American LeMans Series is the premier sportscar roadracing series in North America, running 10 races in 2005. Television broadcasts of the ALMS, on CBS and Speed Channel, attract a top-level demographic audience.

Plus, Hyatt has also become the preferred series sponsor of the Porsche Michelin Supercup. The Porsche Michelin Supercup is a world-class racing series run in conjunction with Formula 1 races at nine events (eight in Europe and one in the USA). Hyatt brand identification will appear on all cars running in the race series.

The new partnership also includes joint marketing activities of Hyatt and Porsche. The two companies have planned a series of initiatives and opportunities for joint brand communication and marketing to their respective customers and prospects. Overall, Hyatt and Porsche will work together worldwide to further and enhance their respective brand positions and business growth.
