North West Company Hit by Rover Crisis

A Lancashire company, which manufactures switches and wiring for MG Rover announced 47 job losses yesterday (Wednesday 20th April).
Amicus Britain's largest private sector union will meet with managers at TRW Automotive on Wednesday 27th April to discuss the proposed 47 job losses at the company's Burnley site in Lancashire.
Amicus is extremely disappointed that the Company has found it necessary to take this decision and will continue to support those affected by the demise of Rover.
Amicus Regional Officer, Jack Brassington said:
"We are in consultation with the company and are taking every step to ensure that job losses are kept to a minimum. This is another nail in the coffin for UK manufacturing."
