OEConnection Launches Latest Parts Productivity Tool

- Streamlined Solution Matches Buyers and Sellers for Increased Profitability -

RICHFIELD, Ohio, April 21 -- OEConnection LLC, an industry leader offering web-based solutions that facilitate the marketing, management, and movement of original equipment automotive parts, announced today the addition of a new and robust profitability tool to complement its D2DLink parts locator and fulfillment service. Subscribers of D2DLink, which serves more than 11,500 dealerships nationwide, now have the convenience of automated shopping and selling with Parts Matching, a new D2D Plus(SM) solution designed to help dealers reduce idle and excess inventory, reduce parts purchase costs, and increase parts sales.

Using the power of D2DLink's search capabilities, Parts Matching offers sellers the ability to more easily pinpoint interested buyers while shoppers can quickly filter searches to find the parts they want at discounted prices.

Chuck Rotuno, OEConnection President and CEO, says, "In the last several years, the automotive industry has been moving towards leaner parts inventories and just-in-time delivery. Parts Matching complements this direction by replacing manual effort with automated ease to help dealers achieve clean, in-demand inventories that can optimize profits without sacrificing service repair time."

Marvin Windham, Parts Manager at Don Drennen Buick-Chrysler-Jeep in Hoover, Alabama adds, "Shopping for parts at a discount is a necessary practice if you strive to increase profitability. In the first week, our Parts Matching purchases helped us save over a thousand dollars to improve the bottom line."

Incorporating a rules-based system, Parts Matching subscribers can run inventory matches on demand and as frequently as desired, with no per transaction fees or commissions. Parts Matching 'shoppers' specify in-demand parts and a 'target' discount percentage so match results show only those dealers with parts available at or below the buyer-selected discount. 'Selling' dealers specify idle and excess parts with the ability to easily import source information from their dealer management system.

D2DLink was launched in January 2002 and has been embraced by dealers of leading automobile manufacturers-both domestic and import. D2DLink today advertises more than 36 million OE parts and is updated daily to provide one of the industry's most accurate OE parts listing. User activity averages more than 2.6 Million inquiries per month with this activity resulting in an estimated $5 Billion in parts trade annually.

OEConnection has continued to complement its D2DLink product with the introduction of a series of enhanced productivity tools marketed under the D2D Plus umbrella. Parts Matching automates shopping and selling of parts in bulk; Idle and Reporting helps dealers optimize the revenue potential of slow- moving, idle parts; and Inventory Updating offers dealers the ability to advertise their most current inventory with mid-day and Saturday updates.
