NUMMI Recognizes Delphi for Quality, Delivery Performance

TROY, Mich., April 20 -- Delphi Corp. was recognized earlier this month by New United Motor Manufacturing, Inc. (NUMMI) for its quality and delivery performance in the supply of electrical/electronic distribution systems to the automobile manufacturer.

NUMMI presented Delphi's Packard Electric division with Excellence Awards for its 2004 contributions in quality and delivery at its annual awards banquet in Fremont, Calif. NUMMI is a joint venture between Toyota Motor Corporation and General Motors Corp.

Delphi Packard Electric's Rio Bravo Electricos (RBE) IX manufacturing facility in Juarez, Mexico completed its 2004 support of NUMMI by meeting its expectations for quality and delivery, registering perfect results in both categories in a 12-month span that saw approximately 1.5 million products shipped to the automaker.

Delphi Packard Electric assembles wiring harnesses for the NUMMI-assembled Toyota Corolla and Pontiac Vibe.
