Common Scents: New AroMetrics Redefines Car Air Freshener Market
Newest member of Valvoline family of brands eliminates blast of scent, lasts longer
LEXINGTON, Ky., April 19 -- Bad car air fresheners are almost cliche: they look silly, overwhelm drivers with an initial blast of scent and don't last very long. Until now. AroMetrics(TM) joins the Eagle One/Valvoline family of brands with a new line of car air fresheners that look sharp and provide consistent, long-lasting fragrance. The AroMetrics Auto Fragrance System does away with the initial overwhelming blast of scent typical of other fresheners and gives drivers the power to adjust the amount of scent that's right for them.

AroMetrics features 15 scents with consistent fragrance release that lasts up to 45 days. With an adjustable scent control mechanism and proprietary fragrance technology, AroMetrics allows users to control fragrance intensity depending on their needs. Retail price is $2.99.
In a nationwide survey conducted by AroMetrics, 84% percent of consumers strongly agree or somewhat agree with the statement "Most car air fresheners give off a blast of scent when first opened and then quickly lose their strength." More than two-thirds, or 69%, of car air freshener users strongly or somewhat agreed that "Adjusting the level of scent is difficult or impossible with current air fresheners." AroMetrics solves both nagging problems.
"Consumers are typically overwhelmed by the blast of scent most car air fresheners give off, then they're disappointed when the freshener quickly loses its scent," said Cheryl Zimbrick, Director of AroMetrics. "We've created a long-lasting car air freshener that gives users the ability to control the amount of scent released. As people spend more and more time in their cars, the ability to control that car environment becomes all the more important. With AroMetrics, they can do just that."
Arometrics comes in four styles: hanging, vent, hidden and decorative, and features a variety of scents including:
Balsam Pine Fresh Strawberry Vanilla Breeze Cherries Jubilee Island Coconut Very Berry Crisp Cotton Lemon Lime Watermelon Floral Fantasy New Car White Caps Fresh & Clean Starry Night Wildflowers
AroMetrics is currently available at Wal-Mart, Pep Boys, Advance Auto Parts and AutoZone locations nationwide and will be available at additional retailers later this spring.
