Sponsorship Scorecard(TM) Gets Green Flag in Partnership Agreement Between SKI & Company and Nielsen Sports
BETHLEHEM, Pa., April 19 -- SKI & Company, agency of record for General Motors Racing, announced today a new licensing agreement with Nielsen Sports for their new innovative service, Sponsorship Scorecard(TM). The partnership will employ the sponsorship verification and measurement product -- Sponsorship Scorecard(TM) -- as part of its ongoing efforts to maximize the investments behind its racing program with General Motors Motorsports properties. Sponsorship Scorecard(TM) verifies and provides the currency for sponsored placed media for all televised sporting events including NASCAR.
"Success in racing at the highest levels is about more than performance on the track. It's about your ability to generate equivalized and audited audience impressions for your sponsor partners. With that, I can't think of a more powerful, credible and proven brand than Nielsen to help deliver the most accurate assessment of how we are performing in the media on behalf of our sponsors," said Chris Lencheski, president and CEO of Bethlehem-based SKI & Company. "We are proud to be the first major motorsports client of Sponsorship Scorecard(TM) and look forward to maximizing the ROI (return on investment) index for our valuable sponsors, which include our own SKI Motorsports NASCAR Busch Series team."
SKI Motorsports, the Charlotte, N.C.-based independent affiliate of SKI & Company, campaigns the #30 Chevrolet car that officially began competing in the NASCAR Busch Series at Las Vegas and Atlanta last month. NASCAR Nextel Cup regular Scott Riggs and two-time NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series champion Ron Hornaday have been slated to drive Chevrolet's car during its eight-race commitment in 2005.
"We are pleased to be supporting the motorsports industry with SKI Motorsports," said Ron Schneier, General Manager, Nielsen Sports. "GM Motorsports properties initiative to utilize our new service demonstrates their leadership and innovation in the motorsports industry."
Added David Pettit, General Manager of Business Development for General Motors Racing: "We look forward to incorporating the results of this SKI & Company/Nielsen relationship into greater return-on-investment indexing to show true audited numbers for the media success relative to our clients."
