Chrome Adds French Canadian Data to Desktop Vehicle Configurator; New PC Carbook Feature Enables Canadian Users to Run Product in Either French or English

PORTLAND, Ore.--April 19, 2005--Chrome Systems Corporation, provider of data, configuration technology and commerce solutions for the automotive industry, today announced the availability of a French Canadian version of its professional grade vehicle research, pricing and ordering tool, PC Carbook(R). At the initial PC Carbook(R) installation, as well as any time the product is started, users are now able to simply choose between French Canadian or English Canadian versions of the product.

PC Carbook(R) makes it easier and faster for professionals to spec and price vehicles, removing guesswork from their ordering process and ensuring accurate orders first-time out. Additionally, users get fingertip access to detailed, accurate and comparative information on more than 20 makes available in Canada. Because PC Carbook(R) includes complete vehicle details on a dealership's own lines as well as its competition's lines, the product can transform sales reps into instant product experts.

Today PC Carbook(R), the professional's automobile pricing guide of choice, is used by multiple sales departments inside a dealership, including new car, used car, fleet and Internet sales. PC Carbook(R) is also used by corporate fleet administrators inside of companies as diverse as Lockheed, Pfizer Inc., Sprint, State Farm, Thrifty Car Rental and Wal-Mart Stores, as well as by multiple credit unions and other lending institutions.

A proprietary version of PC Carbook(R), branded as GM AutoBook, was created for GM and is currently used by all GM dealerships in the U.S. and Canada.

"We're pleased to deliver our flagship product in French Canadian, especially coming so soon after our introduction of a Canadian version of Chrome Carbook. Now Canadian automobile professionals will have access to the most reliable pricing tool on the market and in their preferred language," said Dave Mingle, president of Chrome. "Plus, auto professionals and auto shoppers in Canada can rely on the same information, helping to kick-start a transaction."

Chrome's experience in Canada spans several years. In addition to PC Carbook(R), the company has provided the data in the Reynolds & Reynolds sales solution for Canadian dealers and continues to power the GM BuyPower Canada web site. Earlier this year, the company announced the availability of a Canadian version of its market-leading, consumer-facing vehicle configurator for web sites, Chrome Carbook(R), which also includes French Canadian views of the data. The company recently announced business deals with Suzuki Canada and Canadian Black Book. Additionally, the company will soon release a Canadian version of its successful Automotive Description Service, an information-rich web service for developers creating Canadian-based vehicle web sites or applications.

The French Canadian version of PC Carbook(R) is available for immediate ordering.
