PARIS, France, April 19 -- On the occasion of the launch of the Peugeot 107, Citroën C1 and Toyota Aygo, Valeo announces that it supplies these vehicles with 14 of its product lines.

The heating and air conditioning systems are manufactured in Rakovnik, Czech Republic and air-conditioning compressors are delivered from the Humpolec plant. Polish plants of Skawina and Chrzanow respectively deliver condensers and wiper systems, and headlamps. The 3 compact cars, developed on a common platform, are produced in the Toyota Peugeot Citroën Automobile (TPCA) factory located in Kolin, Czech Republic.

TPCA benefits from Valeo's globalization strategy in a drive to accompany its customers and to ensure that they receive the same quality since every Valeo factory employs the same production methods, quality control and supplier innovation.

"We are pleased to have helped PSA Peugeot Citroën and Toyota with this project for a compact vehicle designed for cities. Valeo's aim, in supplying a large range of products and systems, including some that are produced locally, is to provide full support to the development of its customers wherever they are," said Thierry Morin, Valeo Chairman and CEO.

Valeo also supplies starters, alternators, clutches, switches and access and security systems.

In Eastern Europe, Valeo now employs 6,900 people in 13 production facilities and one technical centre. Valeo's first operation in this region was established in 1995 with the opening of a factory in the Czech Republic. Since then, the Group has grown its presence with sites in Romania, Poland, Czech Republic and Hungary. The last operation was the opening in 2004 of a lighting production plant in Chrzanow, Poland.

Valeo is an independent, industrial group fully focused on the design, production and sale of components, integrated systems and modules for cars and trucks. Valeo ranks among the world's top automotive suppliers. The Group has 129 plants, 65 R&D centers, 9 distribution centres and employs 67,300 people in 26 countries worldwide
