Dollar Thrifty Climbs Fortune List
TULSA, Okla., April 18 -- Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group, Inc. moved up 33 positions on the Fortune 1000 annual ranking of public companies, showing as number 947 on the list published in the magazine's April 18, 2005, edition. In addition, Dollar Thrifty ranked as the seventh largest publicly held company in Oklahoma, and the largest non- energy Oklahoma-based public company. Revenue for the previous year determines position on Fortune's prestigious list. Dollar Thrifty recently announced its 2004 year-end revenue was $1.4 billion, a record for the company.

Dollar Thrifty's first inclusion on Fortune's list was in 2003 as number 999, based on 2002 revenue of $1.13 billion. In Fortune's list published last year, the company was ranked 980 based on 2003 revenue of $1.23 billion. Paxton noted that 2004 was Dollar Thrifty's seventh consecutive year of profitability since going public in December 1997. "We expect that to continue in 2005," he said.
