McClenathan begins quest for winner's circle from the No. 6 position
Meets Weis for the third time in as many races

LAS VEGAS (April 16, 2005) - Continuing the pace that has moved him into
the fourth spot in the NHRA POWERade Top Fuel point standings, Cory
McClenathan qualified No. 6 for tomorrow's eliminations at the NHRA
SummitRacing.com Nationals.

McClenathan, driver of the Carrier Boyz Racing FRAM AirHog Dragster
cruised The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway in 4.569 seconds at 326.16
mph during Friday night's, under the lights, qualifying session.

In the heat of the day, under conditions that Todd Smith indicated will
be very similar to Sunday's, McClenathan clicked off an elapsed time of
4.699 seconds in his final qualifying pass today.

"Todd Smith (crew chief), Bob Bauer (clutch specialists) and the guys
(crew) gave me another great race car," said McClenathan. "This FRAM
AirHog dragster is running like a bracket car. I look forward to
eliminations tomorrow. The track will be tricky and slick, but after
that final pass today I think this Carrier Boyz Race Team will be up for
the challenge.

"I would like to thank Sam's Town Hotel and Casino here in Vegas and The
Boat Brokers at Lake Havasu for their support this weekend of the FRAM
AirHog dragster."

For the third consecutive race, McClenathan, from Lake Havasu City,
Ariz., will go head-to-head against Scott Weis in the opening round of
eliminations. Weis qualified No. 11 with a best pass of 4.634 seconds
at 298.67 mph. McClenathan has come away with the win in each of the
last two races.
