The New Face of Racing: Cosmetic Industry Leader StriVectin-SD(R) Sponsors Top Fuel Dragster at SummitRacing.com Nationals in Las Vegas

SALT LAKE CITY, April 13 -- For the first time in NHRA history, a high-end skin-care product is sponsoring a Top Fuel dragster. StriVectin-SD(R), the "stretch mark cream turned anti-wrinkle phenomenon(TM)," is the title sponsor of a nitro-fueled rail at the NHRA SummitRacing.com Nationals April 14-17 in Las Vegas.

Why the link between drag racing and the internationally best-selling anti-wrinkle cream?

"There has been amazing off-label usage of StriVectin as a skin soothing aftershave balm and anti-wrinkle conditioner," said Gina Gay, spokesperson for Klein-Becker, maker of StriVectin-SD. "We see Top Fuel racing as the next big trend. Sponsoring a car helps us reach a larger male audience and introduces female StriVectin users to this thrilling sport."

The makers of StriVectin-SD became interested in Top Fuel dragsters after seeing the significant brand awareness gains made by Zantrex(TM)-3 through its Top Fuel sponsorship. Dave Grubnic, driver of the Zantrex-3 dragster, and Shirley Muldowney, team and sponsor relations representative, learned of an available car and, with the help of Kalitta Motorsports and the owner of the Zantrex-3 car, brought StriVectin into the Kalitta team for the Las Vegas race.

The StriVectin car, driven by Ben Marshall, is now the fourth in the Kalitta Motorsports Top Fuel team, joining the Zantrex-3 car, the Mac Tools dragster driven by Doug Kalitta and the Mac Tools/Jesse James Top Fuel dragster driven by Scott Kalitta. The pink, white and black car is adorned with StriVectin's internationally famous headline, "Better Than Botox(R)*?(TM)"

Marshall, 29, will make his professional debut as driver of the StriVectin dragster at the same track where, in 2004, he received his Top Fuel license with a spectacular lap of 4.56 seconds at 317 mph. Marshall, who also serves as marketing manager for Kalitta Motorsports' Top Fuel dragster team, began drag racing at age 16 in a front-engine dragster bracket car. Marshall's last stint behind the wheel was driving a Mike Dakin-owned A-fuel dragster. In 2002, the team made the semifinals in Gainesville at the Mac Tools Gatornationals and posted a final-round appearance at the divisional race in Indianapolis.

"We're looking forward to the Las Vegas race and helping to grow Top Fuel racing," said Gay. "We're confident the race will be a big boost for StriVectin and we fully expect this success will mean a longer-term sponsorship."

About StriVectin-SD(R)

The StriVectin-SD phenomenon is arguably the most remarkable story in the history of cosmetics. StriVectin was originally sold in maternity shops and high-end specialty stores as a superior anti-stretch mark cream. In fact, the formula is still labeled as "Intensive Concentrate for Existing Stretch Marks." But in a strange turn of events -- surprising even to the formula's maker -- an underground "movement" took shape as women shared their success stories about StriVectin's ability to reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and crows' feet. Today, the stretch mark cream from Salt Lake City is a growing international sensation, shattering records in France, the United Kingdom, Italy, Spain, Poland, Portugal and the Czech Republic.

StriVectin-SD is available in Sephora, Bloomingdale's, Saks Fifth Avenue and Macy's, as well as dermatology and plastic surgeon offices around the United States. For more information, visit www.strivectin.com.
