Marriott and Hertz Offer Couples Keys to Weekend Getaways

Affordable Hotel and Car Packages Available Throughout the United States and Canada

WASHINGTON, April 12 -- Marriott International is teaming up with The Hertz Corporation to offer couples specially priced hotel and car rental packages* that are easy to book and even easier to enjoy. These affordably priced packages are perfect for a romantic weekend or longer getaway complete with a sporty convertible or an SUV.

Hotel and car rental packages must be reserved online at Marriott.com. Packages are available at participating Hertz airport locations and more than 1,100 hotels, including JW Marriott Hotels & Resorts, Marriott Hotels & Resorts, Renaissance Hotels & Resorts, Courtyard, Residence Inn, SpringHill Suites, TownePlace Suites and Fairfield Inn hotels in the United States and Canada.

To book, guests simply visit Marriott.com and click on the "room and car specials" link to customize their package based on location, dates, car class and choice of hotel.

Here are sample rates (subject to change without notice) for April that include a two night weekend stay for two people and a two day car rental:

  * San Francisco -- Weekend rate includes the Marriott San Francisco
    Fisherman's Wharf with a mid-size car, like the Mazda 626 or Toyota
    Corolla, for $429.00 (including taxes and fees).

  * New Orleans -- Weekend rate includes the Renaissance Arts Hotel with an
    SUV, such as the Ford Explorer or Mercury Mountaineer, for $357.00
    (including taxes and fees).

  * San Diego -- Weekend rate includes the Marriott San Diego Mission Valley
    with a convertible car, like the Ford Mustang, for $442.00 (including
    taxes and fees).
