Advanced Battery Technologies, Inc. Opens New Factory in China

Chinese Pioneer in Electric Vehicle Industry to resume production in its newly built factory with two new production lines

NEW YORK, April 12 -- Advanced Battery Technologies, Inc. (BULLETIN BOARD: ABAT) , a Chinese developer and manufacturer of rechargeable Polymer-Lithium-Ion (PLI) batteries, announced today that its subsidiary, Zhongqiang Power Tech (ZQPT), is resuming production in its newly built factory in Heilongjiang, China with three production lines, two of which are newly built.

The new factory has a daily PLI battery production capacity of 50,000 AH per 8-hour shift, ten times the capacity of the pre-existing plant. The old facility is being converted into an R&D laboratory. "We're pleased to see these production lines come online in time to meet an increasing demand for our products from both China and abroad," commented Mr. Zhiguo Fu, Chairman of ABAT.
