Veri-Tek International, Corp. Announces Receipt of Driveshaft Assembly Cell Order

WIXOM, Mich., April 11 -- Veri-Tek International, Corp. (AMEX:VCC) ("Veri-Tek" or the "Company") announced today that it has received an order for a complete driveshaft assembly cell from Korean automotive supplier Hyolim Industrial Co. Ltd ("Hyolim"). The order is valued at approximately $2.0 million and is expected to ship in December 2005. The Company expects to announce additional orders for its testing and manufacturing equipment in the near future.

Over the past several years the standard for vehicles has increased and consumers expect that their new vehicles will have no annoying driveline noise, vibration or harshness ("Driveline NVH"). OEMs have required suppliers to improve the performance of driveline products, including the driveshaft, to reduce or eliminate this problem. Hyolim is meeting this challenge by providing their customer with a superior driveshaft through the use of Veri- Tek's driveshaft manufacturing equipment.

Commenting on the order, Todd Antenucci, Veri-Tek's President, stated, "We are very pleased with the receipt of this order from Hyolim. This marks the second order from a Korean supplier in the past nine months. This order will allow us to continue to leverage our proprietary technology in the driveshaft assembly machinery segment as well as continue to penetrate the Korean market."
