Cooper Tire & Rubber Company Announces Ratification of Contract With Union

FINDLAY, Ohio, April 11 -- Cooper Tire & Rubber Company today announced that the United Steelworkers of America Local 752L ratified a new 5 year contract in a vote on Sunday, April 10. The new contract agreement brings an end to the strike in the Company's Texarkana, Ark. tire manufacturing facility and the first union workers returned to the job at 7:00 a.m. central time today. Plant operations will resume in phases over the next several days.

The Texarkana facility employs approximately 1,700 production people and produces approximately 40,000 tires per day at capacity.
